Backing the mission — how memberships, billing and rewards work

These terms govern recurring billing, cancellations and refunds. They must be reviewed by a lawyer before you accept any payments, and checked against the rules of each platform you bill through (Patreon, YouTube, Stripe, PayPal).
Backing the mission is a paid membership with rewards. It is not a donation, and it is not an investment. Project Rescue is not a registered charity, and membership payments are not tax-deductible donations.
Membership benefits depend on your tier and may include access to member-only courses, community rewards and recognition, and updates on our impact. Benefits are described on the Back the Mission page and may change over time as the community grows.
Where a free trial is offered, your membership will begin billing automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
You can cancel at any time — there is no lock-in. Cancel through the platform you signed up with. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which it ends. We do not pro-rate part-months.
